A failed relationship told in three brief episodic moments.
In Three Seasons was written and directed by Eric Maierson, a two-time Emmy-winning video editor and producer, writer and playwright. Elizabeth Van Meter, an actress, producer and director played Woman, Denver Butson, a writer who has published five books of poetry, played Man. Tyler Strickland composed the music. I was the DP and Cinematographer.
Eric Maierson, who wrote and directed in Three Seasons, is a chameleon who shifts between writing, directing, editing and producing video, theatre, monologues. I worked with Eric at MediaStorm, a film and interactive design studio where he was the senior producer. From my first day as a producer/editor there Eric was a constant source of inspiration, advice and cool editing tricks.
I’m always amazed at his energy, generating a variety of creative projects in his free time. It was fun collaborating on this project, filming in locations from Central Park to a Brooklyn apartment to a small “basic” hotel. It’s one of many stories Eric has worked on with friends and I was super proud to be part of this project.
In this project the challenge was how to say more with less.
